Digital Asset market is worth $270 billion now. Eyeing this massive opportunity, Intercontinental Exchange, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), has launched the Bakkt ecosystem which will provide a marketplace for digital assets like cryptocurrencies. This ecosystem will be federally regulated to ensure full legal compliance. The Intercontinental Exchange has joined hands with big companies like Microsoft, Starbucks, and BCG to provision various services required for the success of this project. Bitcoin Helps Square’s Stock Bounce

Jack Dorsey’s decision to support bitcoin trading in the Square Cash app is paying off. Payments platform Square Inc, of which Dorsey is at the helm, got a boost on Wednesday after Wall Street analysts said BTC trading would bolster the company’s quarterly results. Tom Lee Reports Bitcoin Mining Now Less Profitable

A recent report by Fundstrat’s Tom Lee notes that Bitcoin (BTC) mining earnings are currently almost breaking even, as the activity has temporarily become less profitable the midst of the current decline in the markets, CNBC reported yesterday, March 15. Lee notes in the report that the current figure for the cost of mining one bitcoin is $8,038, while BTC is trading at around $8,221 by press time, down a quarter of a percent over a 24 hour period, according to data from CoinMarketCap. South Korea’s Largest Cryptocurrency Exchange Partners BitPay

Bithumb, South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, has partnered with major cryptocurrency payment processor BitPay to facilitate international remittance payments. Sonny Singh of Bitpay, the chief commercial officer at BitPay, stated that the company is on track to process $4 billion worth of transactions in 2018, and the team is focused on allowing cryptocurrencies like bitcoin to be more accessible for casual users by assisting large-scale retailers to integrate cryptocurrencies as a payment method.
